Pipeline, Oil & Gas

Applied4Sight has developed, implemented, assessed, and improved many diverse management systems for the oil and gas pipeline industry. From large enterprise management systems to program specific systems, A4S has worked with companies to align their systems to regulations (OPR, CFR), standards (CSA, API, ISO, etc.) and industry best practices (CEPA Integrity First). A4S has worked with many pipeline companies in reviewing, assessing, developing, implementing, and improving their management system.

Our experience in the pipeline industry has enabled Applied4Sight to understand the challenges faced by companies and regulators in appropriately designing and regulating management systems respectively. We have worked with companies to design the management system processes that are required by API RP 1173, including the design and alignment of company programs and functional areas to the PSMS. The work ensured that our client’s programs are integrated with their management system and with other programs and functional areas. A4S has also developed audit programs to measure the adequacy, implementation, and effectiveness of a company’s management system and were used as a critical tool for driving continual improvement. We have also supported companies in completing regulatory audits through preparatory audit training to corrective action plan development and implementation.

Other Industry Experience

In addition to the pipeline industry, Applied4Sight has extensive experience working in other high hazard and high consequence industries. These include upstream oil and gas, energy, service companies, manufacturing, automotive, the public sector, and food industries. Our work in these industries included the development and implementation of management systems, assessment (audit), and continual improvement initiatives.

In addition to establishing, implementing, and reviewing management systems within an operational environment, A4S personnel has experience working with Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) companies, design consultants, and major project groups. This allows us to consider an asset lifecycle perspective, incorporating design and construction considerations in management system designs and will support the assessment of NGA contractors and process review of mains and services construction.
